Dear Colleagues
Following the bombshell dropped yesterday by the Trust I have this morning attempted to catch up with all of your messages and respond accordingly.
I can only apologise for the delay in this response as I was on duty yesterday and NOT aware of the Trusts intentions. The documents are attached to this message if you have not yet had the chance to access your work email.
Throughout the meeting’s we have been having with the new CEO Robert Morton since last year, openness, consultation and total engagement has been promised to the GMB, this clearly has NOT happened on this occasion and we was as surprised as you was of the announcement made by the Trust.
The GMB has this morning requested an urgent and immediate meeting with the CEO to discuss the matter.
As a member of road staff I have my personal opinion on the announcement and its content. As your branch secretary I will lead the discussions based on your feedback and feelings on this matter which I ask for you to continue sending to me via email.
We will as always consult and if necessary ballot our members on the best course of action you are willing to take to protect your rights
Take Care
